The VPS has widespread acres of open ground, fully equipped to ground numerous outdoor sports and games. We emphasize regular exercises and physical fitness through our rigorous physical training program and keep our students active and healthy Physical fitness is also a parameter of evaluation and hence along with athletics and sports, a Mass PT is conducted where children are trained to develop coordination, endurance, speed, agility, strength, and fine motor skills. Interpersonal skills and team spirit is the natural fallout of adapting to a group. Every year, the school holds an Annual Athletic Meet, both for Junior and Senior school students where the students display their athletic prowess and compete with a healthy sportsmanship spirit. Weekly classes in yoga and Martial Art for the primary and senior wings teach students self-defense, discipline, achieve fitness, control, and harmony. Meditation and Pranayama are taught to children to improve concentration. Children involved in the sports programme experience some of the most challenging and rewarding moments of their lives. The Physical Education Department consists of a team of dedicated teachers who specialists in their filed and are responsible for the implementation of the day-to-day sports programme. Intra and inter- house competitions help spot and nurture talent..
